When the WMS is tidy and the yard is not, trucks wait. We audit the application that is supposed to sequence the gate, the yard, and the door.
What we open
Appointment booking versus actual arrival. Door assignment logic and how often it is ignored. Yard jockey tasks: whether they exist in the system, and whether anyone closes them. Dwell time from gate to door to gate-out. We stand at the gate and on the dock for timed observation, then compare those times with the software’s event log.
What you receive
A sequence diagram of the intended flow, a marked-up version of what we saw, and a short list of configuration or discipline changes that would close the gap. If you have no yard system and only a spreadsheet, we will say so plainly and still document the physical flow.
Who this is for
High-volume DCs and port-adjacent warehouses where trailer dwell is already a complaint. Pair with a WMS audit when receiving logic and dock logic blame each other.
